The Pandav Caves Panchmarhi are an important tourist landmark in Panchmarhi. Five ancient caves carved out of a low hillock are known as the Pandav Caves Panchmarhi In India. The very name of Pachmarhi is derived from these Panch- Marhi (five caves or huts) believed to be the abode of the Pandava brothers from the epic 'Mahabharata'.
Jatashankar (also Jata Shankar) is natural cave, a Hindu shrine located north of Pachmarhi, in Hoshangabad district, Madhya Pradesh, India. Cave is located in deep ravine, with enormous boulders perched above. Cave contains stalagmites revered as naturally formed lingams. Cave serves as a shrine to the God Shiva and is popular destination for pilgrims. Jata means hair and Shankar is another name of Lord Shiva. There are two different types of little pond, fed by springs, found in the locality, one of cold water and the other one of hot water.
Bee Falls, popularly known as Jamuna Prapat, is a beautiful waterfall that provides drinking water to Pachmarhi. It is one of the most scenic waterfalls of the town that flows into the valley, making a tranquillising sound. Tourists frequently visit the bathing pool, which is situated above the falls.
Apsara Vihar is naturally formed pool with a beautiful and small waterfall. Fondly known as Fairy Pool, Apsara Vihar is situated in the hills of Pachmarhi near Pandava Caves. The 30 feet high waterfall forms a shallow pool, which is a popular picnic spot among locals as well as tourists. Water of the pool is perfect for swimming and diving. The water comes from the Rajat prapat to Apsara falls.
Morning trek to Dutchess Falls (1 km steep trek down and up). Guests not up for trekking may visit the lake and do a bit of boating. Adventure oriented guests may opt for paragliding (Seasonal). Afternoon visit to Handi Khoh (Deep Valley), Gupt Mahadev, Bada Mahadev and time permitting climb up few hundred steps to Chauragarh Temple.
One of the most beautiful ravines in Central India, Handi Khoh has a 300 feet high precipice in the middle of a dense forest. The place has a mythological history and is believed to be closely associated with Lord Shiva.
Proceed to Jabalpur. enroute visit Marble Rocks. Marble Rocks is an area near Jabalpur (25 kms) along a river having soft marble on both sides creating a beautiful gorge of about 3 km in length. Boating is offered in the river for guests to experience the Marble Rocks. Dhuandhar Waterfalls is also worth a visit alongwith the temple on the hilltop (reachable via Cable car ride). Reach Jabalpur by Evening. Jabalpur is a transit point for travellers getting in and out of Wildlife areas of Kanha (165 kms) and Bandhavgarh (200 kms). Overnight at Jabalpur.
The Marble Rocks is an area along the Narmada river in central India near the city of Jabalpur in Jabalpur District of Madhya Pradesh state. The river has carved the soft marble, creating a beautiful gorge of about 8 km in length. It is a popular Indian tourist destination.
Proceed to Kanha. Kanha is one of the best wildlife experiences in India and renowned for its Tigers and Barasingha Population. The park offers rich diversity of flora and fauna and renowned for its Migratory Bird watching in Winter (Oct - March).Evening Safari in Kanha (Mukki or Kisli Range depends on stay selection).
Morning and Evening Jeep Safari in Kanha National Park (Mukki or Kisli Range depends on stay selection). Elephant back Tiger Tracking (Tiger Show) can be availed if organised on the day of the travel.
