A former royal palace overlooking the magnificent Himalayan ranges of Ladakh, Leh Palace is the best place to get a glimpse of Ladakh’s architecture and history. One of the biggest tourist attraction in Leh from the 16th century, Leh Palace is undoubtedly one of the must-visit places in Leh.
The majestic Tibetan structures, Shanti Stupa is an epitome of peace in Leh, located on a hilltop at Changspa in Ladakh. It is one of the best examples of exquisite architecture. The white-domed stupa with a backdrop of mountains Shanti Stupa is one of the best places to get a bird’s eye view of the Leh city. After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Sham Valley. Visit Likir, Alchi Monastery, Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus Rivers), Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame museum.
Overnight at Leh.
At an altitude of about 12,000 feet, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is a beautiful religious spot and a significant attraction around Ladakh on Leh-Srinagar Highway. It is said that in the 1970s, during the construction of Nimmu Road, a rock was found with prayer flags wrapped around it. When it became impossible to move the rock, it was concluded that it was the rock that was used to kill Guru Nanak, which turned soft at the time and left him unharmed. Hence, the Gurudwara was built around that rock. It is one of the most beautiful places in Ladakh and a must-visit.
Recollect the days spent in bringing glory to the nation at Hal of Fame. Located around 4 km from Leh city, the Hall of Fame was built to honour the soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending India in the Indo-Pak War. Maintained by Indian Army, the museum has seized arms and amenities of Pakistan Army, pictures and biographies of brave soldiers. A must-visit museum in Leh, Hall of Fame will take you to a different world altogether.
Explore the mystery behind the Magnetic Hill. Lies at a distance of 30 km from Leh city on Leh-Srinagar Highway, Magnetic Hill defies the phenomenon of gravity. Surrounded by alluring mountains, it’s one of the most visited attractions in Ladakh. It is said that if you park your vehicle on the yellow box marked on the road in neutral and it will start moving uphill. There are many theories behind the curious phenomenon. One theory suggests it is just an optical illusion and the hill is actually downwards. Another theory is that there are strong magnetic forces that defy the law of gravity.
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (highest motorable road in the world at 17,582 ft). You can take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival check in to the hotel/camp. Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari (double-humped Bactrian camel which is found only in Ladakh & Mongolia) at the Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village.
Overnight at Nubra Valley.
Discover the beauty of high altitude cold desert of India. Nubra Valley is one of the most visited places in Ladakh for its variety of landscapes, sand dunes and double-humped Bactrian camel safari. Located around 120 km from Leh, Nubra Valley lies beyond Khardung La Pass from Leh. The unique mountain vistas along the pristine Shyok River make it one of the top places to visit in Ladakh.

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake 13,940 ft, a drive of 6-7 hours. Arrive at the camp. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the sunset on the banks of Pangong Lake.

Take a glimpse of this stunner mountain lake. Nestled perfectly amidst the baked mountains, Pangong Tso will sweep you off your feet at 13,940 feet in the Himalayas. The crystal clear salt water lake with the azure skies and golden mountains make a picture-perfect sight that will remain etched in your mind forever. Located around 150 km from Leh City, Pangong Tso is one of the must-visit places in Ladakh.
Early morning, enjoy the picturesque view of sunrise on Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh, en-route visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace.
