Excursion to Khonoma Village and Kohima World War- II Cemetery
After breakfast, visit The Kohima War Cemetery constructed in the memory of the officers and soldiers who made supreme sacrifices during World War II, the war cemetery attracts hundreds of visitors every year including the relatives of those martyrs. Maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the cemetery witnessed more than 2000 graves, on each grave there are beautiful epitaphs carved in bronze. “When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today”. Later an excursion to Khonoma Village, that lies 21 km away from Kohima town the Khonoma village is the first "green village" of Nagaland. The village is well known for the legendary leader Angami Zapu Phizo who was the founder of the Naga movement. Spend the evening at leisure.

Khonoma Village has eternal greenery. Known as “Asia’s first green village”, the village is located only 20 km from the town of Kohima in Dzukou Valley. Khonoma is a picturesque village that reflects tranquillity and ecstasy through its wonderful nature. The village offers some of the most stunning views of the valley with verdant paddy fields and small streams flowing through these fields. The 700-year-old village is inhabited by the Angami tribe and is known for banning deforestation and hunting in and around the village. It’s an experience to explore the culture and traditions of this magnificent village. It is one of the popular attractions around Kohima and easily accessible by cab.

Steeped in calmness, the Kohima War Memorial is embroidered by two tall crosses that lie against the backdrop of flowers and lush grass. The cemetery is dedicated to allied soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Japanese invasion of World-War 2. It is considered to be one of the fiercest battles fought in the east and in Nagaland. The battleground of Garrison Hill, the cemetery houses 1420 Commonwealth burials. Kohima Cremation Memorial stands at the highest point in the cemetery. It commemorates 917 Sikh and Hindu soldiers whose remains were cremated as described in their faith. Nestled on the Imphal-Dimapur road, Kohima War Cemetery is a popular attraction in Kohima.

After breakfast, drive to Dimapur. the economic capital of Nagaland, Dimapur was once the capital of the Kachari kingdom. The History of Dimapur dated back to the age of Mahabharata, where the second Pandava, Bheema while in exile, tied the wedding knot with the Kachari princess Hidimba. Thus the place became known as Hidimbapur. It was during the British that it had got the present name Dimapur. Arrive Dimapur and check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ruins of Kachari Kingdom. In the evening, explore Dimapur Market - One of the landmarks of the town, a famous market near the railway station where one can buy the goods imported from Myanmar and China.

Travel Basics
- Any customized/recommended tour itinerary posted on the website is only a proposed holiday outline. We are not holding any confirmed hotel reservations for your travel. The same is subject to availability at the time of booking. The quotation might change based on actual availability of the service.
- Indo Asia Holidays will inform you of any change in prices and only after your confirmation, proceed with booking. Cost will not be refunded for any un-utilized services.
- Weekend or other surcharges may be applicable over and above the package cost for the requested period. Indo Asia Holidays will inform you of such costs at the time of booking or before confirming the package.
- The client needs to make an advance payment as per the specific package terms at the time of confirming the tour and make the balance payment as per the payment conditions of the package.

Cancellation Charges Per Person
- You are eligible for a full refund for any cancellation request 30 days prior to departure. But, such a cancellation will incur a communication and processing charge of Rs. 2000 per pax.

- 24 – 20 days before departure: 50% of total cost
- 19 – 10 days before departure: 75% of total cost
- Less than 10 days before departure: 100% of total cost
