Baba Mandir is a significant spot in Gangtok lies between Nathula Pass and Jelepla Pass at an altitude of 13,123 feet and about 50 km from Gangtok. The holy shrine was built in honour of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of Indian Army, who was drowned in a glacier while trying while escorting mules carrying provisions nearly 35 years ago. Over the year the place has become a pilgrimage, the guards and locals believe that his spirit still protects them in harsh climates and difficult terrains.
Tsogmo Lake, also known as Changu Lake is situated at an altitude of more than 12,000 feet in East Sikkim. The 40 km lake drive from Gangtok takes you to the glacial lake, walled up by soaring snow-covered mountains. Crowned with misty mountains and enticing landscapes, Tsogmo Lake is one of the must-visit places in Sikkim. In winters the enchanting Tsogmo Lake remains frozen with the area around it covered in snow while in late spring the abundance of flowers in bloom adds scenic vistas around the lake which make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Gangtok, Sikkim.
Head for a half day tour of Gangtok, visit Flower Show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls (maximum 3-4 hours). In the afternoon, drive to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel.

Situated around 10-12 km from Gangtok, Banjhakri falls lies on the way to Ranka Monastery. The enchanting waterfall falls from a height of 40 feet and cascades down beautifully. One of the major attractions in Gangtok, the falls are surrounded by lush gardens along with unique statues of Lyam Lymay, Mangpas, Lepcha, and Ban Jhakri ancestors.
Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. World's 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden, Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Spend the evening at leisure.
