    Arrive Gwalior

    On arrival at Gwalior Airport, begin your tour of 'Heritage of Madhya Pradesh' you will be met and transferred to your hotel.Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Gwalior. Visit the Gwalior Fort that dominates the city and is the most renowned land mark, its walls housing several fascinating temples and palaces in ruins. A steep road winds upwards to the Fort, flanked by statues of Jain tirthankaras carved into the rock face. The Fort area is also home of the Scindia School. Later proceed to visit Jai Vilas Palace and Museum

    Gwalior Fort (Hindi: ग्वालियर क़िला Gwalior Qilais a hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort has existed at least since the 10th century, and the inions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century. The fort has been controlled by a number of different rulers in its history. The present-day fort consists of a defensive structure and two main palaces, Gujari Mahal and Man Mandir, built by Man Singh Tomar (reigned 1486-1516 CE). The Gujari Mahal palace was built for Queen Mrignayani. It is now an archaeological museum. The second oldest record of "zero" in the world was found in a small temple, which is located on the way to the top. The inion is around 1500 years old.

    Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed for Shivpuri 117km south-west of Gwaliori, On arrival check into hotel then visit a pleasant lake surrounded by gardens here has been a summer retreat for the Scindia royalty who wished to escape from the oppressive summers of Gwalior. Shivpuri houses a wildlife sanctuary and several hunting lodges. Near Shivpuri, ancient Jain temples scattered across a hilly slope glisten in the sun. Return to Gwalior. Overnight rest in the hotel

    Orchha Sightseeing

    Morning after breakfast, check out and visit the Phool Bagh, Dinman Herdauls' Palace, Sunder Mahal and the cenotaphs built in the memory of the rulers of Orchha. Later visit Jehangir Mahal built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo, Raj Mahal and Chaturbhuj Temple. Dinner and overnight rest in the hotel.

    Chaturbhuj Temple in Orchha is one of the most fabulous and ancient architectural marvels of the time in the town. It was built by king Madhukar in between the years 1558 and 1573. The temple houses an idol of Lord Vishnu with four arms but was originally meant for Lord Rama’s idol.

    The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu temples in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. They are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures. Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela dynasty.Historical records note that the Khajuraho temple site had 85 temples by the 12th century, spread over 20 square kilometers Of these, only about 25 temples have survived, spread over 6 square kilometers. Of the various surviving temples, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art. The Khajuraho group of temples were built together but were dedicated to two religions, Hinduism and Jainism, suggesting a tradition of acceptance and respect for diverse religious views among Hindus and Jains in the region

These temples are famous for their intricate sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of Indian art. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

    Early departure from your hotel you reach the wildlife sanctuary at Bandhavgarh and your hotel by lunchtime. Bandhavgarh was originally the private forest reserve of the erstwhile Maharajah of Rewa and despite its compact size of rugged, hilly terrain, it supports a rich diversity of wildlife including tiger,leopard, sloth bear.Birdlife too is exceptionally varied, from Malabar hornbills and paradise fly catchers to black vultures and crested serpent eagles. Jeeps and elephants are available for game viewing; note however that the park is open only from November to June.
